NUQUENCH QUENCHING OILS

NUTECH’S NUQUENCH line of Quench Oils consists of Fast, medium and slow cooling quench oils with various heat extraction capabilities. Operating temperatures ranging from ambient to hot. These oils are designed to provide minimal distortion and long service life.

NuQuench Oil A100: This premium fast oil utilizes new generation additives giving it long service, desirable cooling rates and clean parts.

NuQuench 2211: is a premium quench oil that imparts maximum hardness values to a variety of steels. NuQuench 2211 allows for uniform hardening of packed parts in baskets with minimal drag-out.

NuQuench Oil 3440: Is a fast quench oil that imparts maximum hardness to low carbon and alloys steels. Provides uniform cooling for tightly packed parts and  minimal drag-out.

NuQuench Oil 3310: Is a fast oil that provides high harness values to low carbon and alloy steels. Special additive technology provides long life, reduced drag-out and uniform hardness to tightly packed parts.

NuQuench Oil K900: This very fast oil provides maximum hardness to low carbon and alloy steels. The low viscosity oil allows for uniform quenching of shapes and tightly packed parts.

NUQUENCH POLYMER QUENCHANTS

NuQuench A is a nonflammable, aqueous solution containing polymers and corrosion inhibitors. It’s designed for quenching ferrous and nonferrous materials in a variety of geometrical shapes. NuQuench A can replace water, oil or brine solutions and is a preferred quenching media for low and high hardenability steels.

NuQuench B is a nonflammable polymer quenchants solution of a liquid organic polymer and corrosion inhibitors. NuQuench B is inversely soluble in water at temperatures above 165•F The metal cooling is controlled in part, by the thickness of the polymer-rich film which is controlled by the concentration. The cooling rate is controlled also by adjusting the quench bath temperature and/or the rate of agitation. NuQuench B has a higher molecular weight than other NuQuench polymers which provides uniform heat transfer in the range of medium speed oils to slow oils.

NuQuench E is a nonflammable polymeric quenchants and are aqueous solutions of a liquid organic polymer and a corrosion inhibitor. The organic polymer is soluble in water at temperatures above 74°C (165°F), but separates from water as an insoluble phase. NuQench E is also formulated with a non-nitrite corrosion inhibitor. When hot metal is quenched in a diluted solution of NuQuench E organic polymer is deposited on the surface of the hot metal. The rate at which the metal is cooled is governed, in part, by the thickness of the polymer-rich film. The thickness of this film is controlled by the concentration of the quench bath. The cooling rate is controlled also by adjusting the quench bath temperature and/or the rate of agitation. 

PAG POLYMER QUENCHANTS: Nutech offers a complete line of PAG polymer quenchants for a variety of heat treating applications. These water soluble polymer quenchants offer reduced fire hazards and cooling responses similar to oil quench.

PEG POLYMER QUENCHANT: This unique polymer quench has regular solubility for clean operation.

PVP POLYMER QUENCHANTS: This line of polymer quench is economical and offerrs cooling responses similar to quench oil.

NUQUENCH 275 RCS is a high purity, eutectic mixture of nitrate and nitrite salts, formulated specifically for curing extruded rubber profiles at the lowest possible temperature ranges. It is used as a molten liquid salt bath and is especially effective for curing silicone profiles and sponge rubber in the 325-475 F. range and can also be used to cure conventional rubber profiles at higher temperatures (over 400 F). Because it is a high purity mixture with a low, sharp melting point it is very fluid at any operating temperature. There are a number of important reasons for curing rubber with NUQUENCH 275 RCS. It is chemically stable over its wide operating temperature range. The free flowing characteristics of the salt assure virtually no lumping or caking problems. It can be used with wide operating temperature variations  315-650 F. The salt bath, when heated, maintains its viscosity at operating temperatures.

Gas Carburizing

W36 is a copper-free stop off paint for gas carburizing. It provides good protection properties against carbon depths up to max. 6,0 mm. The stop off paint is delivered ready for painting.

W31 is a fragrance-free and solvent-free stop off paint for gas carburizing. It provides good protection properties against carbon depths up to max. 1,9 mm. The stop off paint is delivered ready for painting.

W34 is a copper-free stop off paint for gas carburising. It provides good protection properties against carbon depths up to max. 3,5 mm. The stop off paint is delivered ready for painting.

W342 is a copper-free stop off paint designed for gas carburizing spray applications. It provides good protection properties against carbon depths up to max. 3,5 mm.

W44 is a fragrance-free and solvent-free stop off paint for gas and vaccuum carburising. It provides good protection properties against carbon depths up to max. 1,5 mm. The stop off paint is delivered ready for painting. For dipping or spraying we recommend W442.

Nitriding & Nitrocarburizing

W25 is a fragrance-free and solvent-free stop off paint for nitriding and Nitrocarburizing. The stop off paint is delivered ready for painting. For dipping or spraying we recommend W252.

Vacuum Carburizing

W45 is a fragrance-free and solvent-free stop off paint for vacuum carburizing. It provides good protection properties against carbon depths up to max. 3 mm. The stop off paint is delivered ready for painting.

W44 is a fragrance-free and solvent-free stop off paint for gas and vaccuum carburising. It provides good protection properties against carbon depths up to max. 1,5 mm. The stop off paint is delivered ready for painting. For dipping or spraying we recommend W442.

Plasmanitriding

W53 is a fragrance-free and solvent-free stop off paint for plasmanitriding. The stop off paint is delivered ready for painting.

Annealing & Oxidation

W61 is a solvent-free protective paint and provides excellent protection for steel components against oxidation during heat treatment up to temperatures of 1100 °C. The stop off paint is delivered ready for painting.

W63 is a kneadable masking compound for special sealing applications.

Brazing & Induction Hardening

W71 is a all purpose stop-off compound for all brazing applications. It will be applied as a thin, continuous line around critical areas on a metal’s surface where brazing filler metals must not be allowed to flow.
