Metal Finishing Solutions
Metal Finishing Chemicals
Specialized chemicals for cleaning, protecting, treating, and preparing metal surfaces for demanding finishing and manufacturing processes.
Metal Finishing Chemistry for Better Surface Performance
Metal finishing chemicals are used to clean, prepare, protect, and enhance metal surfaces across a range of industrial processes. From surface preparation and cleaning to corrosion protection, conversion coatings, and specialty treatments, the right chemistry helps support consistent finishes, coating adhesion, durability, and performance.
Types of Metal Finishing Chemicals
Corrosion Inhibitors & Rust Preventatives
Protective chemistry designed to help prevent corrosion and rust during manufacturing, storage, transportation, and service.
Acids & Electrolytes
Etch additive A is a heavy-duty cleaner BOOSTER ADDITIVE for use in finishing operations where enhanced performance is needed due to metal oxides or scale, hard water, or other difficult residue. Burnt-on residue. It is also added to caustic soda baths for etching aluminum for matte-finish surfaces. Provides superior performance on aluminum.
Etch Additive A is typically used in operations where heavy-duty degreasing and cleaning is required. MOST EFFECTIVE ON SCALE, OXIDES, AND DIFFICULT HIGHER ALLOY CLEANING PROBLEMS.
Attacks difficult burned on oxides of lubricants, greases, oils, light rust, light scale, and oxides. Can also help with controlling effects of high free oils in the process tank.
Anodizing & Passivation Solutions
Specialized treatments that enhance surface durability and corrosion resistance, particularly for aluminum and stainless-steel applications.
Pre-Treatment Chemicals
Phosphating, conversion coatings, derusters, descalers, anodizing dyes, and related chemistry used to prepare metal surfaces for painting, powder coating, and other finishing processes.
Applications
Metal Finishing Across Demanding Industries
Metal finishing chemistry supports manufacturers where surface preparation, corrosion resistance, appearance, adhesion, and durability are critical.
Built Around Your Surface & Process Requirements
The Right Chemistry Starts With the Surface
Surface preparation is critical to successful metal finishing. Oils, rust, scale, and other contaminants can compromise the final result. Our technical team can help identify chemistry suited to your metal, process, operating conditions, and desired finish.
Clean
